The Details

The Specifics

Dogs:
  • All dogs must have secure collars and identification tags, as well as be up-to-date on all vaccinations. You must provide a leash for walking, a collar, and plastic bags. Dogs will always be walked on a leash.

How Walks and Visits are Conducted:
  • Catering to the needs of your specific dog, we take your pup for a stroll around the neighborhood. Depending upon the age and breed of your dog, some walks might be longer and more vigorous, while other dogs might prefer shorter "business" breaks. The total of your visit includes the time it takes to harness your dog, walk them, clean up their mess, put things back, feed, water, and administer any medications. We are always with your dog for the scheduled time, and often stay a bit longer.
  • We provide you with a Check-In Sheet, which our walker signs upon arriving at your home. Most times, we'll also send photos or updates via text or email.

Keys:
  • Keys should be obtained during the First Meet Up, or at the time of our first official outing with your pet. You may either:
  1. Provide us a key which will be numerically coded (without any of your personal information on the key itself) and stored in a safe location, OR...
  2. Set up a safe place on your property for us to collect and return the key each visit.

High Profile Clients:
  • A confidentiality agreement is available if need be.

Payment & Plans:
  • Cash is preferred method of payment, but we also accept personal checks, credit/debit cards, and Paypal.
  • Upon booking your appointment, you will be invoiced within 24 hrs.
  • A la Carte:  For the rare situations. Example: You're stuck at work unexpectedly, and just need someone to run over and let Petunia outside. This is a rarity and one time thing. Payment should be made at time of booking with a credit card or Paypal, or left in cash or check at your home. If you choose the latter and it's not provided, you will be invoiced a $10 late fee.
  • Weekly Plans:  Setting up a routine. Example: You know that Monday-Friday, Roscoe needs to have a tinkle at noon. Payment is expected at time of booking via credit/debit card or Paypal. You may also pay in cash or check on the first day of your package. So in this case, on Monday, when we come to walk Roscoe, please have an envelope readily available with the payment inside. If payment is not delivered after the second visit, a $10 late fee will be applied.
  • It is possible to set up an automatic recurring payment plan if necessary.
  • A $25 bounced check fee will be administered.

Slumber Parties:
  • A nonrefundable 50% deposit is due at the time of scheduling, and the other 50% due on the first day.
  • During our stay at your house, please avoid scheduling any other visitors, workers, etc. We cannot be responsible for any guests. If this absolutely must be the case, please notify them of our presence ahead of time, and provide us with the name and contact information of the individuals. You must also sign a release if services are not cancelled.
  • For full live-in stays (24hrs. or more), please contact us for more information.

Cancellations or Changes:
  • Please notify us ASAP if you plan to change or cancel your service.
  • If you reschedule a service with us, please offer 48 hrs. advanced notice. Your deposit will be kept for future service, no additional charge.
  • If you reschedule a service with us less than 24 hrs. prior to the start of the service, you may be invoiced a $10 rescheduling fee. If you have a Weekly Plan and need to reschedule a visit, please be sure to do so within your week or you forfeit the visit.
  • If you choose to cancel your service with us altogether, you must email a written notice of termination 7 days prior. The value of your services will be prorated and refunded (minus 25% of prorated amount as a cancellation fee).

Insurance:
  • We are bonded and insured to work with your animal through Pet Sitter's Associates. Working with us, you understand that we're fully committed to your pet's safety and well being. However, you also understand that although your pet is domesticated, unexpected events can occur at any time, without any warning. By working with us, you understand  we cannot be responsible for any damage, injury, illness, or death caused to or from your animal. Damage caused by your animal to property, itself, other animals, or people is not our responsibility. If you desire to see a copy of our insurance forms, don't hesitate to ask!
